The slightest tap on the chassis or tap of the foot on the floor, or god forbid I'd actually walk near it when it was playing. What I didn't expect was this damn thing would skip so easily, like stupid easy. I own an older home with suspended wood floors, so I expect some sensitivity as to vibration. I got my C-7030 on Amazon a couple of years ago for $150, which considering the specs and reviews, seemed an incredible bargain. The trick is getting it all positioned correctly, as you want as little air as possible, also, the unit is much heavier one side, so you have to shift things around a bit to get it level. I bought a $5 tube and a $10 wooden cutting board and wow! I can't believe how well this works.
Recently I saw a video on turntable isolation on YouTube, where the guy used a barely inflated bicycle inter tube under a wooden platform. I tried several combinations of stacking, feet, foam, and eventually gave up and put it back in the box under the bed.
I should have probably sent it back for refund, but kept it in case I ever found an effective isolation scheme. I assumed it had to be defective, so I sent it back for exchange, but the replacement was just as bad.
